Long time, no posts.
I haven't posted in a while. School has kept me busy...very busy! I hoped to myself earlier that I would make a blog and stick with it. I thought it would be fun, and it is, but it is just so hard to keep up. I will try harder, even if it's a little post.
Today I am just sitting at home, which kind of makes my day because sometimes the most relaxing moments are when I'm by myself. Getting a break from school and all the chaos that comes with it made my day.

It's Fun to Run!
You know that feeling you get after you worked hard and accomplished something? Well, today I got that feeling after I finished a 5k at my Church. Three point one miles of straight jogging really warmed me up in Minnesota's autumn weather! But in the end, it was worth it. That feeling of accomplishment made my day.

With Fall weather comes...
Caramel Apples! I just came home from my friend's house to see a delicious caramel apple waiting for me on the counter. My parents picked it up at the orchard, and now it's all mine! (Actually I did share it...) And it was so good! It made my day!
In other news, today is officially the last day of summer for me. Tomorrow is the start of 11th grade. Although this fact did not make my day, I'll be glad to see all my friends again. Wish me luck!

Gone for Good...
Well, not really. On Friday, we dropped my sister off at college. She seems to really like it there, and we hooked up Skype, but it's going to be weird at home for me. Now, I'm an only child. Well, besides our dog Maggie, of course. It was sad to see her go, but you know what made my day? I get the car!
Anyway, I'm sure I'll miss her. Then again, I'm sure being at a great college will make her day as well.

Hey, Happy September!
Hey, my fellow bloggers, today is September 1st! You know what that means? Pretty trees and fall leaves...and hot tea...and seasons of Glee! And...and...okay, I was on a roll there with the whole "rhyming" thing. Anyway, I love autumn. I love the perfect temperature, the crisp air, raking up piles of leaves for my dog and I to jump in. I can't wait! Happy September, my followers.
A Game of Tag
Have you ever just watched squirrels? I have. And today, it made my day. I watched two squirrels in my yard as they played a little game of what I would classify as squirrel "tag." One would stand perfectly still, gripping the tree, as the other was on the ground, ready to race it up the tree. The ran in circles and twitched their little fuzzy tails around. It was so adorable! Next time you're outside, take a few seconds to watch God's creatures. You never know, it might make your day.

One Chatty Chinese Woman
My family went to a Chinese Restaurant yesterday after shopping for plants, and when we checked out, the woman that rung us up was so chatty! I don't think she stopped talking! But she was very nice...
"Oh, you have a nice daughter! How does she stay so thin!? It is a mystery to me! Oh, you write with your left hand! How special. You have a gift for writing with left hand! Nice meal? You did enjoy the food? It is very good, yes. Enjoy, everyone! Yes, goodbye! Have a nice day! Bye now! Okay!"
And she had a smile on her face the whole time. What a nice lady! That made my day!

Don't forget about September 22nd!
I recently found out what happens on September 22nd...the second season of Modern Family! I can't wait for this show to start again. It is my favorite show, just beating Big Bang, How I Met Your Mother, and Glee. If you haven't seen this show, you'll want to tune in on the 22nd!
Here's a short clip of one of my favorite parts from last season: http://www.fancast.com/tv/Modern-Family/104524/1129099140/Modern-Family:-Luke-Just-Shot-Me/videos

A Sky filled with Foam
This 2-minute video clip presented by EcoIdeas.net completely made my day! They made polar bear shaped silhouettes out of environmentally friendly soap bubbles and helium to raise awareness about the plight of polar bears in the arctic. How cool is that? Check it out for yourself!

Grilled Trees?
Delicious Cookies!
That made my day, coming home to see the tupperware that held the most delicious cookies was halfway open, opening it, and finding just one cookie left. Realizing we had just enough milk left for this one cookie was the icing on top (or should I say "the caramel in the middle?"). YUM!

I have a Follower!
Who knew that having one follower would be such a big deal? Waking up and seeing The Irrepressible Pinecone's username in my little Followers section made my day. So, thanks. : )

Three Arnold Palmers at a 7/11
On our way back from the Boundary Waters, we decided to stop at a 7/11 to get some of those cool new pretzel M&M's and some drinks. We've never tried an Arnold Palmer before, and they were only $1 for a 22.5 FL oz. can, so us three girls bought them. We walk out of the store, food and drink in hand, and our mom's tell us it ridiculous to buy such big drinks when we still had at least a 2 hour drive ahead of us. We said we were thirsty, and we drank them anyway...
Half an hour later, we were stopped at another gas station for a "potty break."
That made my day.

Excerpt from "Shopaholic & Baby"
Preface:
Becky Bloomwood suspects her husband, Luke, and his ex-girlfriend, Venetia (also her new obstetrician) are starting to have an affair. Becky hires a private detective to investigate. She later calls to cancel the investigation after realizing it's ridiculous. But she still suspects the detectives are following them around.
Excerpt (page 216):
"My mobile rings just as we reach the gates of our block, and I jump a mile. That timing is too coincidental. It'll be the private detective, telling me he's in the boot of the car. Or he's in the building opposite, with a sniper rifle aimed at Luke...
Stop it. I didn't hire an assassin. It's fine."
